I could have sworn I saw this in a NIH paper a while back, but now for the life of me I can't find it. But the question is exactly what the title says -- if you go for a procedure that is more or less solely focused on lateral expansion (MSE, DOME, SARPE) - do patents get any sagittal advancement and/or expansion at all as the body is adapting? I thought I'd read something along the lines of "for ever X millimeters of lateral expansion" patients would tend to gain about 1mm on the sagittal plane.
I'm currently working with a Vivos provider and likely to follow a DNA procedure first - but for good measure, I am also speaking with an Orthodontist who does DOME locally ... and I want to see what both of them suggest I need in terms of expansion in each direction. Depending on the measurements they come up with, it could be possible that either protocol might be able to achieve my goals.
Normally the bone created by those procedures allow from some "relaxation" in the upper front teeth and their crowns tend to tip back a little bit. So, in my opinion, it is just he opposite of what you say.
