How is mewing supposed to give you hooded eyes?

Hello,

Just a curiosity. Probably all of you know of helmutstrelb's case where he  got crazy improvements from hard mewing + chin tucking (allegedly). One of the things I noticed was that he got Gandy- like eyes, his upper eyelid exposure literally disappeared. How is that supposed to happen? Did the maxilla push the eyes up and into the skull or something? Is that even anatomically possible through a maxillary upswing? Also, it would be better if we just discussed about the effects of mewing on eye hoddedness. I took Helmutstrebl as an example to better explain what I mean and not to start here a flame war around "filler accusations".

It probably doesn't. I had hooded eyes before mewing. It's caused in my opinion by the shape of the supraorbital margin. A sharp supraorbital margin would in theory create more taut skin around the eyeball which would make the eyelids have more exposure.

Men have more curved supraorbital margins compared to women, so hooded eyes are more common in men. But that is just a theory. How far back your eyes are in their sockets doesn't affect this either.

Eyes deep in their socket...

With minimal to no hooding
