Hi there. I recently started gum chewing for strengthening my tongue muscles for better mouth posture. I am doing the following gum chewing exercises:

Big bolus chewing: https://www.youtube.com/embed/IrdulzyOZCo?start=27

Tongue Chewing: https://www.youtube.com/embed/ZNocCJNicrc?start=186

Are there more exercises with gum which improve my tongue strength and posture?

from what I remember chewing is for the masseter muscles. what you are doing isn't necessary imo just takes time before your tongue adapt to the position comfortably. took me around 4 months that i even put my tongue on the roof of my mouth without noticing.

As far as I know those are the only two exercises you can do with gum, there are myofunctional exercises you can do that can strengthen the tongue though.

Currently my favorite tongue exercise is to take a 1.5lb wrist weight and pull a handkerchief through it. Then I place the ends of the handkerchief into my mouth and hold the weight by pressing the handkerchief into my maxilla using my tongue.

I will do this for a few minutes at a time while driving, then take a break, then do a few more minutes. On and off for the whole drive.

This exercise has been a game changer.

I also attach a handkerchief to a wall-mounted elastic exercise band, hold the handkerchief by pressing it between my tongue and palate, and then do various neck twists or just move my body back so that there is tension on the band, and then hold posture for as long as I can.

Got to be careful not to break the appliance while doing this though.

I hope this doesn't sound insane. It was heavyweight boxer Joshua Anthony's idea!"

You can also use weights if you're up to it. Also even if you don't have a tongue tie if you search up tongue tie exercises you'll find useful ways to stretch and possibly strengthen the tongue.

I think incorporating resistance training is an excellent idea for tongue posture. But Joshua Anthony's idea is a bad idea because it trains neck extenders which eventually cause weak neck flexors and this muscle imbalance cause tight neck/ upper cross syndrome.
