I’m am going to be making an appointment to get treatment and use an ALF appliance for palette expansion. I Mew, but it just is very hard and my tongue is so bunched up. So, what should I keep track of so we can get good documentation? <3

Good luck!

If I could go back to the start, I would take monthly photos. And I would buy a medical caliper to measure my facial width pre treatment.

Ideas I've had on measuring changes:

- Buy a bag of popsicle sticks.  Figure out how to bite on one with your first upper molars ... you should be able to bite with medium force, and make an indentation.  Measure the distance in-between.  Keep that as a record, do one every month.

- Use something like the iPhone app EyeMeasure to measure inter-pupil distance.  If there are any changes happening to the mid face overall, the eyes may get a bit further apart in space.  This is highly debated, however.
