Mewing? Can this be corrected without surgery?

So I always felt a bit self-conscious about the asymmetry of my jaw. Pretty much one side is fine and the other side is flat. I have attached some pictures.

The head-on pictures I tried to take as aligned as I can and as you see the left side of my jaw is more defined than the right side which seems to be aligned with my neck. You can see the difference in definition with the side shots as well.

I think this is genetic because IIRC my mom had the same thing with her jaw in which case mewing wouldn't help with this? Anyway to make it more symmetrical without surgery?

*edit* I'm 24 btw, I've read mewing is less/not effective once in adult-hood?

If you didnt mention it I wouldnt even recognize it. Nobody has a perfect symmetry. If you look closely nobody has symmetrical jaw. Its your face thats why you analyse it more than other faces. Dont let it make you self conscious...

Here you go brother https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y5sPlWZed2A

Watch that, Mike Mew talks about asymmetries and how to fix it. Basically just pull your maxilla forwards. You could look into the MSE (maxillary skeletal expander appliance) it works on adults too

Look into my thread /community/community/main-forum/possibly-new-holy-grail-for-moving-the-maxilla-up-and-forwards/

You can observe yourself when you chew food. Do you chew by one side of your mouth? If so you and your mom might have the same habit.

This is almost certainly it. I myself have been favoring one side of the mouth and as a result both sides of my face are different. Better cheek contouring and a more prominent cheekbone

I tried to see if I do this, not really sure as when I pay attention to it I guess I'm not doing it lol. If this is the case what do you suggest to correct it? Just chewing on the right side? I'm already 24 so maybe that wouldn't do anything?
