Hello,

this is my first post but I've been researching mewing for quite some time now. I already started couple months ago, I only knew it as good tongue posture by then. But I did it infrequently and also wrong (only tip and mid tongue on roof in public). Two days ago I came across some mewing videos and started adopting the “correct“ tongue posture (I hope so at least) whenver I can. My tip and mid tongue is almost always on the roof now but my posterior third still needs some work. The problem I have is that when I mew with all my posterior third up my soft palate, my airway closes and I start lowering the tongue a bit to let just enough air in and out. I hope it is right and will get better the more I practice it. But as soon as I start lowering my tongue some muscle extends under my chin and it makes me look like a frog. When I put all my posterior third up it is flat and concave where it looks pretty good. I would like to know if this is normal in the beginning and why it is exactly happening, because I dont want to hold my breath all the time.

I hope I made some sense and am thankful for every answer or question.
