I just found a new technique. When i started chewing gum for first times my face becames swollen my friends tels me that to but i keep doing it and i was thinking that over period of time this problem was resolved by himself but im wrong and read that chewing with open mouth can benefical for who chew alot gum and gets chimpunk face. I try open mouth chew for 6 hours a day 2 days later my face looks soo slim compare to 2 days before i always chew gum 6-7 hours a day with close mouth chewing its benefical for some of people but not benefical for me thats clear. And when i chew open mouth i chew 6-7 hours a day and felling this tecknique works for my mentalis muscle to and of course works masseter muscles. 1 thing i am woried about i chew 6-7 hours open mouth my mouth opens for 6-7 hours i think maybe thats not realy good because mike mew says evrytime we should close our mouth dont sure what should i do.
You aren't practising orthotropics if you are open mouth chewing for 6/7 hours a day, goes entirely against it's principles.
While I don't doubt you'll get a different mscular response with open mouth chewing, is it going to help with bony changes...
Bit like lifting a heavier weight with bad form, it may make it feel like your muscles have had more of a workout but...
I wana try close mouth chewing but how can i know i dont use my bucsinator muscle when chewing i am confuse any ideas ?
Don't worry about buccinator activation in chewing, the only thing you can really do is move the gum around with your tongue. Buccinator activation is bad when you're practising improper posture, this is because even when you're not eating you're still swallowing presumably saliva throughout the day. Me personally, I used to "suck" in my saliva throughout the day which activated the buccinators. Now I use my tongue to gather up the saliva and swallow with the tongue. This is probably the easiest and biggest habit change you can make to fix your oral posture as you swallow so many times throughout the day.
