I am trying to reproduce the same action as my tongue using my thumbs by pushing right up into my palate in order to push the maxilla forward. I didn't know this at first but theres a bone behind the maxilla called the palate bone and I have been pushing on this for a week now, do I have to move more in front to move the maxilla? Also isn't the tongue pushing the palate bone up if thats the case? I thought the lower third was pushing the maxilla up, why doesn't Mike Mew talk about the palate bone when talking about mewing? Also will there be problems if I keep pushing into the palate bone?
Hello, yes there will be problem. The angle of the palate will be more vertical which is the opposite of the ideal, which is horisontal. Did you do it for more than a week and did you get movement? If so I'd like to hear more and get in contact. Dm me here or on reddit - username: innovatium
