I have a crossbite on my left side, which is impossible to solve if the teeth are in contact, for obvious reasons. I have been trying to separate my teeth so that I can improve my crossbite, but it was all in vain when it came to sleeping. I sarted looking for ways to solve this issue, I bought some Myobraces, but it didn't work since the myobrace was a "one size and shape fits all" type, which wasn't compatible with my crossbite, and caused  immense pain, and I ended up giving up on them. I started looking for alternatives that would fit me, and I concluded that a moldable mouthguard would be the best option. At first, it took me a few tries to shape it perfectly, but now that I have been using them for a week, I can say that it is the best option for non-standard mouth shapes: Not only I wear them for the night, but I wear it all day long as long as I'm not eating. I believe that now that my teeth aren't in contact, my crossbite will be able to be fixed more easily.

I'll post weekly or monthly updates, depending on how fast I progress.

I remember reading a fair amount of people saying mouthguards at night (for TMJ or whatever else) aren't good because they would train your jaws to be apart - of course now that everyone is saying that your teeth aren't supposed to be in contact anyways, I am unsure if the previous wariness is now thrown out.

@crimsonchin That's something i've been wondering myself, but at the same time I used to have my bottom jaw dropped while having the lips sealed, so to me it's pretty much the same.
