https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Pafdo1Pln5I Heres a video by Elliot Hulse a lot of the points he makes in the video i really agreed with. The reason I shared this is because usually people with CFD also suffer from bad posture and bad posture affects us very negatively socially mentally and physically as we all know and in this video he talks about how to open the body up and what that can do for us. It seems common that a lot of CFD suffers usually have more social anxiety or just anxiety in general compared to most people and i think a lot of that gets stored in the body like Elliot talks about in the video. So I really think a lot of people on here could adopt this routine to help improve quality of life and get rid of the tension in our muscles. I also notice Elliot himself has really good posture but i have seen that his pallete is narrow so i think he doesn't have good tongue posture but if he learned about mewing probably a lot of these posture exercises wouldn't be needed as much for him. After watching i realized that when we using bad posture its usually the same posture that we go into when we are in fight or flight mode so i think always being in that posture puts us in that high stress mode the majority of the time which wreaks havoc on your body and mind. I think the only missing piece to this video i think would be proper tongue posture because it seems the exercises he shows can improve your body posture but without the tongue posture you have to constantly be conscious of your posture and correct it constantly and i think proper tongue posture does that automatically. I have a lot of thought that went into my mind from watching this so sorry for ranting tell me what you guys think?
it also made me wonder if the guy on the right had mewed his whole life or if he had proper body posture would he be a completley different person?
Gagging is said to stimulate the vagus nerve, with this stimulation also said to help treat various conditions including those characteristic of impaired socialisation eg: autism, social anxiety disorder.
Consider also what we increasingly become with mewing: big mouths :-D
Big belly laughs... tensing the abs while the mouth is wide open is said to be quite good toward the work we do.
Remember this pain... and let it activate you.
Yeah but what i really take away from this video is that people that are properly physcially developed probably dont have those probelms. If i remember correctly the jaw and pallete or maybe posture is connected to how the vagus nerve functions. YES! bracing the abs i think is very important and ive been experimenting with posture and i notice that having forward posture prevents any natural bracing of the abs. a lot of people nowadays have forward shoulders and weak glutes and so i rolled my shoulder back in their proper position and put my hips in their proper position too and almost immediately my abs tighten and i can breath much easier and i feel more confident
