I think it could work but you'd have thumbpull for 30-60 minutes a day or more total, done in frequent 1-5 minute sessions. My reasoning for why thumb pulling could work is that the mandible is able to follow the maxilla by chewing, which is a high force exerted on the mandible for 30-60 minutes a day. From personal experience chewing is sufficient enough for my mandible to keep up with my maxilla, I do not need to keep my teeth in contact, so if the mandible can grow to fit the maxilla from high forces, why wouldn't the maxilla be able to respond to high forces as well?

I have been doing it for 7 days , already i feel my bite is different and my tounge is losing marks on it's side which came from it being too tightly placed between top theeth when mewing.

You need to do it every 1-2 hours around 5 minutes. It's only thing which you can do at home with really instant results. Try it for yourself for a week.

I will try to thumbpress roof in order to move maxilla but i am skeptical about changes with that method.

If you are trying thumbpulling please do it safetly and not over do it.
