I measured mine and it's right around 20mm from the widest part. I used measuring tape and a mirror to do this. Is this too narrow? What is the average palate width for an adult male/what should be the minimum? I cannot easily fit my whole tongue on my palate so always have been mewing with part of the tongue on some of the teeth. Should I really widen it? I wanted some of those methods, but they want so much money -- like $10K to do this.
Is there like a face pulling version of palate widening? Can someone explore this maybe? How about something like a dental guard that's anchored to the teeth while two belts or something could pull the face in a bi-directional way from both left and right sides of teeth?

At 20mm your width is substantially low for an adult. You might to help with tongue posture
I've been mewing for over 6 months already. I don't know if my palate was even more narrow prior to it since I never had it measured.
Either way, I don't see how much more it can widen with simply mewing/tongue on the roof of the mouth. I've been doing this automatically since the last 2-3 months without any need to even remind myself anymore -- it's ingrained now. Should the palate continue to widen from mewing? To what point?
Also, one thing I don't get is the smile and how that is supposed to reflect palate width. I heard Mike Mew and other say that -- if your palate is wide/developed -- you should have a big smile. I noticed I have a big smile, but apparently a really narrow palate. Could mouth size affect this?

Where are you measuring from exactly? What tooth position? 20mm and a big smile? I think you may need to reassess

Tooth to tooth on each side very precisely. I have a big smile if I force my mouth to widen as much as possible. With a soft smile, no, I can't see all of my teeth.
For reference, a double A battery could not even barely fit in my palate -- and yes, I actually tried it. LOL

I meanly what teeth like molars or bicuspids etc

Third molars and wisdom is the same -- about 20mm or right at 2 inches.

2 inches is 50mm champ. I take it you don’t build many things.

Ok 50 mm. I also can't fit a AA battery between my palate. Your palate seems wide. 20 mm honestly would look freakish on an adult. Like severely small to a point it isn't even funny but worrisome

It’s clear this dude has come to troll or is bragging(lying). If he had 50mm intermolar width he would know there was nothing wrong with him. 50mm is a rareity. If he does have it they’re would be no need for him to seek out this place.
I got in trouble last time for asking people for pics but to op may I politely ask you if I can see this 50mm wide palate you have? I’d like to see what one looks like. No pressure
Ok, clearly I screwed up. LOL. It's between 40 and 50mm -- probably closer to 40. I assumed it's narrow because my tongue doesn't easily fit up there. Maybe it's my tongue that's too wide for my palate or something? Or maybe it's my teeth that are a little off?
Also is 40-50mm a really a wide palate? That's strange to think because I've always believed it to be narrow. Can I get it even wider? Maybe to 50-60mm?
I don't feel it's wide enough honestly.
As for the pic, I'll try tomorrow.

Avg today is around 33-39mm but people have in 40s. Worry less about if it’s wide enough and focus on getting more of the tongue up there. You can expand as much as your tongue can fit. I have a wide tongue of about 60mm. Will my molars ever be that far apart? Probably not but I can get close to 50 one day maybe. I’m at 40-42 right now. You have more than enough space to do tongue posture.
p.s- learn how to read a tape measure it might come in handy for a job one day. 1cm=10mm

Stick your tongue out lay it flat and measure widest point
What do you mean by lay it flat?

Come on bruh am I gonna have to tell u how to control your tongue or are you messing with me?
Stick the thing out your mouth and don’t curl it up but just lay it flat at its widest.
From the other discussion we learned that the averages Mike Mew got were from the UK. As not everyone here is British we can expect to have measurements outside of that. Just because the UK is seemingly full of narrow palates doesn't mean the rest of the world works that way. Even between the UK and the US there are significant dietary differences. In the US we take in way more calories for one, so don't be surprised if people are more robust. I can tell you many Brits I have met are definitely smaller in comparison to Americans from our own Midlands region (what we call the Midwest).
Further, CFD isn't one size fits all. The way one person has CFD is relative to THAT person. Wide palate =/= ideal development elsewhere necessarily

I’ve heard many orthodontist say 36mm is avg. No we are not more “robust” than uk. EddieMoney I’m curious though is what’s your point in always worrying about averages? You seem to have a fascination with intermolar width and measurements.
They had a post last night if this was an incel forum and it was deleted but I don’t know why as it was a legitimate question. Most of the guys here don’t do research and serve no purpose but brag in their post. It’s the same behavior

So you think Americans are the same size as Brits? Ok cuz I guess that's what you want to believe then OK. Never mind the fact average weight and skull size between Americans and Europeans is vastly different. But whatever.
Also why does it matter the reason behind my interests? What kind of question is that? Same to your question about this being an "incel" forum. Last I checked this is a skull development forum and I am staying on topic. Maybe don't go to a skull development forum if the discussions are based around skull development?

Avg head circumference is worldwide. You are pulling facts out of your butt and you know it. Weight and skeleton frame is not related one bit. Americans are fat because of unhealthy diet. Cheeseburgers won’t make your skull grow. Have fun littering this place with broscience dude.
