so I started mewing(kept butterfly fly bite apart because it was hurting my jaw)about a year ago. Now I’m here one year later my face is forward but I find keeping my tongue on the roof of mouth and trying to swallow saliva is very uncomfortable I have no tongue ties or any problems but it is very uncomfortable. So I stopped I started resting my tongue on bottom of mouth I used to do it before and had no problems I didn’t rest tongue on bottom teeth or anything all my teeth aligned pretty well. All I try to do now is keep tongue on bottom of mouth and when I swallow saliva I put tip to top of roof and swallow saliva and it feels the most natural.
When you mew do you apply hard forces or just place the tongue on the roof of your mouth.
Just keep back and front on top of roof mouth and it rested there

Whats wrong if I just apply hard forces?
Sometimes applying hard pressure could be counterproductive than good.
Forces have counter forces. It can bend the bottom teeth into U shape (exaggerated curve of spee). I think the whole premise of this stuff if seriously flawed. Mewing was invented based on this....
2:16 to end of https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=26KBKhaieSE So basically, why does the tongue have to do the work? I mean... if the tongue fits, wear it! Expansion in kids works. I think it's highly questionable whether moving things with the tongue will be good. Maybe? Who has a CBCT of this showing teeth not pulled from bone? I mean... how flat do we need our palates.... how WIDE do we need to be? I mean... these guys with larger expansion areas ended up getting too big without even focusing on it. You can't just go untraining the tongue.
