Feel outward pushing under my lower front teeth on the night before going to sleep. Even the slightest push with my tongue on the roof . . When i use suction to hold the tongue, it feels like my lower teeth are gonna fall out because of the vacuum, and when i push up my tongue it feels like they are pushing forwards. And its only on the morning/night.
I have my tongue Usually placed some mm behind my front teeth, my Can it have long-term negative effects if im doing the posture slightly wrong? What to do? Im afraid having the tongue on the roof is gonna screw up my lower front teeth but i also dont want the negative effects of having tongue on the floor. Help would be appreciated. Annyone having the same issue?
Don't push your lower teeth with your tongue. There's also no need for strong suction, it's just there for the posture, the force comes from the chin-tuck and the activation of the posterior tongue. Don't clench your teeth btw.
Im not pushing my tongue on my lower teeth, it just feels like something is pushing them when i push my tongue on the roof.
But how am i supposed to keep my jaw up without consiously clenching"? im subconsiously dropping my jaw when i relax otherwise, while still keeping my lips closed and tongue on roof.
I had the same sensation when I first started. On week 5 now of mewing and I still feel it but it's not as intense. Lower teeth are in good shape so far. They feel really solid actually. If it's too intense for you, you could always back off from the suction holds.
In this video Dr. Mew talks about how the negative pressure caused by a slight suction hold with a lip seal actually helps keep the teeth straight.
