I just started hard mewing non-stop 3 days ago and I've already noticed a small change. The section from the bottom of my nose to my upper lip looks fuller, and my chin went from being flat to being a small bump.
I should also mention that I have been chewing lots of regular chewing gum for the past couple weeks as well, but I stopped yesterday because my right jaw started crackling when I chewed.
I'll keep this updated as I see more changes. After a while I might post pictures of the before and after as well.
Sounds interesting.
Whats your current intermolar width? Im curious to see if hard mewing expands the intermolar width faster than regular mewing.
xd
I just self-measured it as 33mm. I measured the space between my 2nd to last molars - not sure if that's how you're supposed to do it though.
This video from Dr. Mike Mew should show you how to do it correctly.

Ok I did it right.
do you have any issues fitting your tongue between a 33 IMW?
I do. But I haven't been using the sides of my tongue that much when I mew for that reason.
Now I've noticed that my front teeth on the top are starting to get very small spaces between them. No other changes from last time, except my side profile looks subtly better, but I can't figure out why.
I've thought about hard mewing a few times it just requires a lot of concious effort

Lack of conscious effort = lack of results.
I noticed today that I have more room for the tip of my tongue to rest on the palate. I have a long tongue so I had to move it back a bit to fit it on the roof of my mouth, but now I don't need to.
My nose is starting to look bigger, which doesn't look very good from the side. Hopefully this is temporary.
so within 3 days of mewing you apparently got a better chin and a bigger nose? that even with 33mm imw? Stop trollin man
It's possible that some of these changes are due to different angles when I took the pictures. The only one I know for certain is real is the teeth coming apart - the rest are so slight that it may be my mind tricking me.

The soft tissue of the face changes slightly from day to day, or even hour to hour, depending on how well you well you have slept, what you have eaten, whether you have been inside or out in the sun, and so on. On the other hand, incisors coming apart (=diastema) implies that your midpalatal suture may have opened, which can lead to fast changes. How old are you?
I'm 22 and a half.

Is there a way to discern between a central incisor gap caused by teeth movement vs. opening of the suture? Like how big does the gap need to be to be confident that the suture has opened?
I've been wearing a Y-plate expander for just under 3 weeks now, and have seen a fine black line come and go between my central incisors.
So it's been a week now since I started and although I've seen some great changes already, I'm going to change the way I hard mew. Now I'm going to make sure I get the posterior third of the tongue on the roof of my mouth as it seems very important for growth. Before I had the other two thirds up but not the back third, as it blocked my airway whenever I tried it. However, I watched a video today that said you can have the posterior third up without the very back part that blocks your airway, and that's what I'm going to try.

Don't worry about jaw crackling man, I've had it but I just ignored it, ketp chewing and eventually it went away, probably its just readjusting
It about 2mm total so far, my expander only has one screw in the middle
