Hello everyone,
First of all, I am I apologize for my English. I don't belong from an English speaking country, so My English isn't that great.
After searching about different holistic option for correcting my uneven jaw, I have found a appliance named ACOM(I guess). It's an Splint activator similar to myobraces but according to that lady I talked it's better than myobrace.
As from the ACOM websites it a 24 months long treatment process and they showed some case study of adult patient success as well. I think they do it with some cranial adjustment too as I can see from the website; some of the qualified doctor are osteopath.
When I read about Splint activator in wikipedia I thinks this device helps to correct jaw position.
Also, http://www.osb-formation.fr/dimension-verticale/marie-france-77.html ( see under: cas cliniques) Use similar appliance to correct the jaw position.
I am very new to all this devices and everything. However, I am trying really hard to fix my asymmetry problem. Since when I started mewing, my palate expand little bit but these days I having really bad pain on my right side tmj bone I guess. When I talked to a NCR practitioner via chat, she told me I need cranial adjustment in tandem with cranial dentistry. According to the practitioner "You need both upper and lower appliances...lower orthotic to raise the bite and rock/rotate the cranial bones into new positions. Upper expander alone cannot do this.". I need a applience named Gelb mora splint.
Since Here cranial dentistry like ALF or functional orthodontist option are unavailable, so I searched about all other options and found this.
I think it's a very good option for growing children but I am not sure how well suited it is for adult patient. Anyone Kindly give your opinion as well, please?

Are you referring to the section of the ACOM website titled "Testimonials of Patients and Medical Colleagues" ( http://metodomontorsi.it/en/montorsi-method-opinion )? Unfortunately none of the adult cases on that page have before and after pictures.
I haven't been able to find a lot of adult cases treated with these types of appliances. The best example I have come across is this young woman who used a myobrace ( /community/community/case-discussions/your-success-story/paged/3/#post-6013 ). I have ordered a myobrace A2 but it hasn't arrived yet. I am hopeful that it will help reinforce correct oral posture during sleep, stabilize my palate expansion, reduce the minor crowding of my lower incisors and improve the symmetry of my arches. If you are focused on increased intermolar width, I suspect that a palate expander would have a more direct effect. However, palate expanders occupy the roof of the mouth, so these trainers might be more comprehensive, even if the impact on intermolar width isn't as dramatic. The adult myobrace case I linked above does appear to show some expansion with reduced buccal corridors.
The focus on psychological impacts on the ACOM website is intriguing. I also appreciated this description of the mechanism from the wikipedia page you referenced: "The appliance sits passively between the upper and lower jaw, and does not exercise any force by itself to the teeth. When the patient bites together, the teeth standing out of line collide with ramp-shaped walls and are moved into their correct position over time. This works due to the principle of the inclined plane and the spring force of the elastic deformation of the device. By biting more or less intensively, the patient can determine by himself how much force is applied." Thanks for sharing!
Thank you Apollo for your reply.
Yes, I also found only 2-3 adult success case on their website : http://metodomontorsi.it/en/equilibrium-mouth-body-psyche
One 19 years boy (Riccardo V) face changed little bit and also (Patrizia 39 years old Alberto 39, their palate seem widen little bit)
I talked to a lady who sell same appliances from Germany (she told it's France type jaw sharper ) She have 4 types of Splint activator ( Narrow mouth, overbite, under bite and upper palate expander). 2 types one soft silicon shaper and one hard one She suggested me that this are better than Myobraces and helps to balance the jaw. She suggested me to go with upper palate expander one for now( a silicon splint activator and have to change every 6 month). My intermolar width isn't too bad but front side dental arch is little narrow. So, she said expanding the palate would benefit the upper arch. I am also buying palate expander from her; incase I don't like the Splint activator.
I want to give it a try and see whether it helps me or not. I still feel for newbie in all this, it would be better to use something safe (I hope it is) like this than palate expander. ( I read in one of your post that palate expander can cause teeth tipping; so for now I don't want to experiment too much). I hope it helps me to get good result. Time will say everything.
So the "39aa" in parenthesis after the names Patrizia and Alberto indicate their ages?
Please keep us updated about your experience with the appliance!

I found a couple more adult cases with images on the website souletbesombes.com

Hi @rakhia, have you started using your activator? How's it going? I have been using a myobrace for about a month and a half. It has definitely reduced crowding in my lower incisors, slightly protruded my mandible, and I think it might have uprighted my lingually tipped molars a little. I don't think my large myobrace A2 is wide enough to cause any expansion at the level of the molars, but it might be increasing my intercanine width and improving the overall shape of my arches. I wish I could order a larger size activator.
Keep us informed about that appliance and alternative ones.
@Apollo and maubes. I am sorry for my late reply. I was busy this week.
I am using palate expander and activator both. I am using palate expander for 12-13 hours and activator for about 3-5 hours. However, I realized everytime after wearing activator, palate expander seems tight. And, I didn't had any clue where to place the tongue in the activator. I noticed little bit of space between my lower teeth even after using the activator for 3-5 hours for 15-20 days. All those space is now gone as I stopped using activator for now. I am using the palate expander for now. I expanded 1 mm till now ( 1 month) and wish to expand at least 4 mm more if possible. I emailed the lady I bought the activator and palate expander from.
Here is her reply email:
How did you find this lady and how were able to buy one? It looks promising.

Thanks for the update @rakhia! I used a palate expander for a few months first and increased my intermolar width by about 6mm and now I'm using the myobrace to help stabilize the expansion and improve the shape of my arches. Maybe you would have more success with that strategy, sequentially using an expander and then switching to a wider activator once you've completed expansion.
I bought the activator from the owner of this website:

And I will update my progress in future.
