Hey guys! I wanted to post more pictures to better show my bite to see if it could potentially be part of the cause of my headaches basically daily. I have a tongue tie so I plan to get this released + OMT. Do you think this would be good before more NCR? So expensive and if I did more series, I’d want the best results.
I love the idea of getting an ALF and I feel it would help me a lot addressing jaw, bite, cranial distortions. But it costs a lot so I don’t know if I should yet, unless there’s a good payment plan. I also have a reverse neck curve and I’ve heard about upper cervical, torque release technique, structural energetic therapy, cranial osteopathy, atlas profilax, and NCR which is apparently a permenant structural correction therapy compared to chiro. Not sure what to do. NCR seems to make powerful cranial structure change though.
I wondered if myofunctional therapy, proper posture, tie release by itself could help to expand the palate and fix any distortions I may have from birth trauma and conventional orthodontia. Dr Gerald Smith talks a lot about the bite and cranial connection.
I don’t know where to start and it’s frustrating all the different options available. Like typical tmj treatment without an ALF, but that doesn’t address root cause. I know anything causing inflammation, viral, toxic body, eyes, bite, structural issues can all cause headaches.. I honestly don’t feel at ease smiling and feel I always feel some sort of discomfort. I remember the dentist said when my teeth are slightly apart it looks like an open bite, but I do not have an open bite. Thanks so much. ❤️
What is the cost of ALF in your area?

Hi! Well... I just found out about AGGA and even more confused LOL. One dentist in NYC quoted 15k (that was dna and invisalign after though). Not sure if braces are even needed after an ALF, I’d hope not. Some people get orthotics too worn 24/7, not sure if i need that at all.
Even with an intermolar width of 31? At least i think that’s what it is from what I remember. Need to get the tongue tie released I think. Can your tongue help fix any poor bite/bite interferences?
I also heard 7k-10k for ALF. But that usually includes myo and cranial work too

I can't judge the cost of myo and cranial work but that amount is way too much for a simple treatment like ALF.

I think in your case ALF is probably the best option and I say that because it's supposed to cost the least and provide relief from the symptoms you complain about. FAGGA is the step up and in fact can incorporate ALF treatment in it's second phase.
Ronald Ead had similar complaints to yours and has undergone a major transformation involving FAGGA, surgery, and physiotherapy. You can read about his journey on his blog: https://ronaldead.com/
Either way I think you can start with tongue tie surgery and practicing mewing for few months to see if that provides any results before having to commit financially to any of those options. In the mean time you can continue researching all those options so that if you still suffer from the same symptoms you can pick one with better knowledge.

I just found out about the AGGA.. on that person’s blog he mentioned the whole thing costing 15k with braces. Apparently the AGGA works better for adults but does it address cranial distortions like the ALF apparently does?
what is normal treatment cost for ALF? I think I was told 7-8k but I don’t think that includes adjustment costs. Also, do you always need braces after? I also came across bite build up so i’m just lost.
How do those compare to the DNA and NCR.
On that ALF site it seems they say it adds up to about 12k with everything.. no idea though. I just had $400 xrays for tmj and only $54 of it went towards the out of network deductible? I can’t imagine insurance covering any of it. The pics of people who did myofuctional therapy with braces, their faces change a lot. Does that mean they expanded? Why is the DNA not recommended again? The tongue tie group I’m in seems to favor the AGGA for some reason..
