Hi,

My nose bridge appear too "high" if you know what I mean.

Could an upward and forward force on the palate make the nose appear smaller by making it more "into the face", like by the forward movement on the cheeks?

If it is possible, what type of movement is really important, the upward movement, or the forward movement? I would tend to say that to make the nose appear smaller the upward movement would be rather negative if the goal is to get the nose "into the face", but that the forward movement is definitely beneficial because it is the one that would move the cheekbones forward?

Also in the title I say mewing, but I wonder more about the movement itself I don't ask if I can achieve this necessarily only with mewing, but with any technique that would involve an upward, forward movement of the maxilla.

By the way, if you're wondering, my maxilla is obviously recessed in a significant and non-genetic way, I've been breathing through my mouth all my life and I'm 16 years old.

Mewing may add some length and mass to your lower third which in turn would make your middle third (mostly nose) look smaller.

@eddiemoney

Indeed I had seen it of myself by pushing my lower jaw in underbite position, I had an overbite with overjet ""fixed"" with rubber bands, so now I am totally fucked, my mandible is trapped back in the condyle and the maxilla blocks any advancement. (I had an expansion of the palate between 14 and 15 years old btw, all my teeth now fit in my palate but I still don't know if it is wide enough tbh, because it still seems arched)

This being said in my current question I was thinking more about the maxilla the proportions of the nose to the rest of the maxilla.

In addition to what EddieMoney said, widening of the lower and especially the upper jaw would make your nose appear smaller.
