I've been doing it for about a week now, using a braceshop expander, some rubber bands, paper clips, and just hooking onto an eye-level cabinet handle for 20 minutes

My front teeth have moved forward. I know this because I haven't expanded the expander in that direction but there is more space anyways.

I want my entire maxilla to come up and forward

Who is still doing it? How have your results been?

I am also planning to combine expanding with extraoral traction, but I haven't started yet. You can read about my preparations in the thread called "My Routine." It's encouraging that you have seen results in just one week for about 20 minutes per day. How do you determine the amount of tension to pull with? Your methods with the paperclips and rubber bands and short sessions sounds like Plato's strategy. I've been debating if I should start with short sessions like Plato, or longer sessions like Dr. Mew recommends. Are you latching the paperclips onto the hooks between the bicuspids of your expander? When you say that your front teeth have moved forward, you mean that there is more space between the expander and the central incisors? Have the teeth tipped at all? Have you adjusted the screw on your expander yet? How is that going? Please keep us updated on your progress!

I read your thread man I hope you keep us updated. It is good to have other people doing this with me. I'm putting the paper clips at the hook on the eye teeth/canine teeth.

Yeah. A tiny but noticable gap between the front of the expander and the front teeth. I rotated my Y expander once more to fill the gap

Have the teeth tipped at all? Have you adjusted the screw on your expander yet?

I'm pretty sure I have no tipping. Feeling with my tongue and looking in the mirror, the teeth look straight - even a bit inwards tipped.

Yeah man. Once you have the expander it's pretty much free to try this as well. I just hooked rubber bands (All same size, I'm using 3 rubber bands each. I just grabbed from work I do not know the sizes) to the paperclips, and put the paperclips through the loops near the eye teeth on the expander. I tried doing it with just my hands to pull but I found it ineffective and tiring, so I found a kitchen kabinet handle a bit above mouth level and just attach the rubber bands there.

Also just as a general update: I definitely feel the things people on BTM and plato were talking about. I was wondering what he meant about being parasympathetic and some other mode (Sorry I forgot the name of it), but that you should only facepull while still in that relaxed mode. Depending on how hard I pull, I 100% notice my heart rate increases dramatically and that my body is not longer in a calm state. It's quite easy to notice. If I pull hard I only stay calm for like 5 minutes, if I do a low intensity pull I can do 10. So now I'm thinking low intensity for 20 minutes my next try (I just finished a session before writing this).

Also like plato and I think tyler said, you feel it in the back of your head. I'm not sure if it's muscles or what, but I feel the pull at the back. And like Progress said I have been having subtle crackles and pops sometimes while doing it, all of them definitely coming from inside my skull. Not anything loud enough to hear outside my head probably, but I'm 100% sure that the sounds/sensation (it's both) are happening.

I've been facepulling with a belt and just pushing upwards and forwards. Where are you guys feeling it? I personally feel it at the bridge of my nose the most, and then some sensations around the zygomatic bone close to the ear.

Do you who do this have your chin tucked during the pulling? And do you have your mouth closed or opened? I've just started and don't know how I should position my head. I feel that my neck is getting a training session of the pulling.
