Hi everyone

Is it ok for me to push kind of hard when I swallow?  I find that after some very slight changes in my palate that I now have what feels like a better rest against which to brace my tongue to push against.  I'm trying to push forward, but I can't really avoid pushing up a bit too.  It feels like I'm getting really good force against the steep slope part of my palate.

I'm not really hard mewing, I soft mew but maybe hard mew for a few seconds at a time when I'm bored.

Thanks!

Yes.

This is what first helped me understand mewing, when I first did a cheesy smile swallow. With practice you'll get a feeling for the tongue and do this without needing to do a cheesy smile. What you want to do is get that feeling from a cheesy smile swallow and hold it.

@sinned

Thanks

I can get some really strong force when I swallow (trying to push forward mostly instead of up).  It feels like most of the force starts from almost in my throat and then I get a really nice push against the steep part of my palate.  I'm not really trying to hardmew so I was curious.
