I'm also curious about this. I would assume that the lower jaw expands with the maxilla if the expansion is accomplished through a correction in posture, because in such a case, the person adjusts the muscle forces emanating through his entire body, and so the response has to be system-wide. However, in the case of maxillary expansion accomplished with a device - without mewing - the correction is possibly more limited, and so the results may be as well. Who knows? But anyways, that's why I think that those using expanders should couple it with adjustments to their posture as well.

With the tongue you are usually expanding slow enough as to allow the mandibular arch to adapt. When I went from 35 to 43 the change was so smooth that I couldn't even notice any difference in my bite. When using an expander the mandible may have a harder time catching up, especially if you are not in the habit of keeping your teeth together.

When you bite down, your teeth will adjust to the position of each jaw. As long as your biting is balanced it shouldn't be a problem. People's lower jaw expands with the upper all the time during growth as it is.

Most people's upper jaw is wider than their lower. The point is to be able to bite w/ evenly distributed forces. As long as a malocclusion doesn't form or worsen you should be fine. Your teeth have cusps to help fit themselves properly. Problem is most bite very unevenly.

if bite down i my insicors and the teeth beside them  touch. i belive my lower jaw came forward so molars dont touch anymore.  i really shouldnt have started waering a expander i guess but my palate was so small i wasnt able to mew proberly. is there something i can do to soleve these problems?

What would be the smartest thing to do? Expand my palate even further untill im able to mew proberly or should i stop wearing my expander and only relie on mewing, my palate is still to narrow at 34-35 mm IMW at the moment but at least better i als cant breath while mewing but maybe im able to open my airway up what do you think?

Can you post some photographs? Facial and also bite: bite with face, (basic photos, and profile), but also close ups: wide smile while mandible is sitting at the back (not protruding) and also biting edge to edge (protruding so the incisal edges of the lower front teeth make contact with the upper ones)... and, by the way, giving a wide smile, as I would need to see the back teeth while doing that.

I think an orthodontic treatment can do that without the need for any surgical procedure

but i cant do it with mewing only? how would an orthodontist treat me?

there has to be a way @progress was able to do it without a problem

so i guess i should stop wearing my expander right?

every input would help

I honestly think you could use some orthodontics. Invisalign maybe?
