I've tried "forest fruits", which has a hint of an artificial berry aroma, but it's not great. Amazon reviews seem to rate unflavored poorly. I've also seen but not tried mint, mint + baking soda (reviews say it tastes like chewing Arm & Hammer toothpaste and that antacid qualities are notable), green apple + baking soda, strawberry, clove, and "fruit mix".

I have tried one variety of pine resin + beeswax gum and one variety of larch resin + mint + beeswax gum, and the hardness is similar, but my stomach feels terrible after chewing it and you can't really taste food for at least a couple of hours after. I love resinous and woodsy smells, but that was like trying to ingest perfumed turpentine.

Is mastic gum any good? I read that it's difficult to deal with, sometimes breaks off into little sharp pieces in your mouth, and some people are concerned it abrades enamel.

I've looked into the various non-disposable jaw workout chewies and devices and I do not believe that they would give anywhere near as natural and as safe a result as from actually chewing a bolus of something that deforms and fits entirely inside your mouth—but I could be wrong.

FYI: I always chew three pieces of falim gum together at the same time.

One Amazon review:

Regarding the flavors: I ordered pretty much all of the flavors - plain, mint, forest fruits, mixed fruit, and strawberry. I thought I’d prefer the mint flavor (since Trident spearmint gum is my long-time favorite), but the “mint” is not really “mint” - it is what I would think of as “plain” gum. I would describe the various flavors from an American perspective as follows:

-Mint Falim= plain/unflavored/pure plastic

-PlainFalim = hint of oregano-like herb (I have never had mastic gum before, so I don’t know if that herby mix is the natural flavor of mastic gum)

-Forest fruits Falim = hint of Berry Burst (the flavor of Wrigley’s Extra)

-Mixed fruit Falim = hint of Banana Laffy Taffy

-Strawberry Falim = hint of freeze-dried strawberry flavor (including the freeze-dried aftertaste)

All of the flavors are worth trying except for mint, which is just too blah. I hated the “plain” at first (it’s definitely unlike any American gum flavor), but now it’s my favorite - the others remind me of American gum enough that I find myself wanting to spit it out and get a fresh piece of full-flavored American gum. The “plain” flavor is very clearly it’s own thing so I can chew it for a long time without the same craving. This flavor is my second favorite - I love banana Laffy Taffy.
