Should also expand the lower palate as well right? I was thinking of buying a y plate to gain more space on my upper palate as my current intermolar is 34mm and I would like 3-4mm more from the expander alone.
Maxillary expansion done right in a child is based on the limitations of the lower jaw's width. It would perhaps be more so in an adult. Wonderful question. These are the kind of questions that even those phsycians who are excited about DOME ask. What about the lower?!
