I thought this was an amazing talk and really opened my eyes to new correlations between physical health and oral posture so I thought I'd share it here. It should definitely be checked out.
They didn't really explain anything they just sorta agreed with their own hypothesis. I'm not saying its impossible but they dont have the research to back up those claims
I'd been wondering about swallowing air, nitric oxide and how it could tie in with OMCing. I haven't experienced any new digestive complaint since starting to OMC but I will be eating more celery, not just for those crunchy jaw gains, but the nitrates as well, since I'm effectively mouth breathing while OMCing and maybe this can help compensate. But I don't want to stop OMCing unless I encounter an issue because it's clearly helped with a few of my problem areas.
Remember this pain... and let it activate you.
This is a subject close to my interests. In case these points were not discussed in the video:
- Lordotic posture can cause digestive problems due to how spine is pushing against the intestines and the nervous system. This is what happened to owner of Starecta for example.
- Digestive problems can then in turn lead to impaired utilization of energy, making maintenance of proper posture feel like an uphill battle.
- Of all bodily functions that require energy, maintenance of anatomic function is very low priority. Good posture becomes automatic only when a high state of health is achieved.
- Thus, basically everything that impairs energy metabolism on cellular level is going to affect postural vigor negatively, unless sustained conscious effort is taken to counter it.
- Everything that enhances energy metabolism on cellular level is going to increase the amount of subconscious effort directed at maintenance of posture.
When my metabolism is running at great intensities, my posture straightens out by itself. Stimulants make this even more apparent, as they simulate hyperthyroidic/manic states. I feel as if the body is not enough, as if there was a desire to expand my physical body "beyond" its spatial limits. It feels masculine, primal and can be turned to a really effective exercise.
