I hope everyone is safe and well at this weird time.
I'm brand new to the forum. My goal is to achieve forward facial growth - prominent brow ridge, maxilla and mandible.
Has anyone had experience in using the Forwardontics Face Bow? It seems like the right solution for me, but I haven't been able to find photos of adults wearing it or any before/after pics.
I thought I'd reach out on here before I pay $100 for a Zoom consultation with Dr Sandra Kahn.
Did Dr. Kahn say she would give you a Zoom consultation or are you just assuming? I inquired to her about the Facebow over a year ago and this is the reply she gave me:
"Sorry, face mask in adults is a scam. If you have a problem you must consider jaw surgery."
Ooh thanks for your input!
She does offer a Zoom/Skype consultation for $100.
There is a section on her website about Forwardontics for adults where she recommends the Homeoblock and something called an oral nasal airway system.
These are to help with snoring and sleep apnea, I don't know if these would be of use to me as my goal is purely aesthetics.
@smart_adam The Homeoblock is often compared to the Vivos appliance (formerly called DNA appliance), that probably wouldn't be bad for aesthetics. Of course, a face mask is preferred if you need forward growth.
I think what I'm going to do is combine upper and lower palate expanders with the face bow.
