How to know when you’re expanding too much?

Hi everyone,

First post here. I got a Bioline appliance last Friday. It’s similar to BioBloc, but the plastic wraps around the teeth similar to Invisalign and have some nodules glued onto the teeth to increase grip and strength.

I’ve been told to turn the key all the way each day (which I believe is 1/4mm?)

With every turn I can feel my breathing improving which is why I sought help. But every day now it feels quite tough on the teeth, and I don’t know when to tell when the pressure is too much?

Are there any indications or parameters to know when I’m turning too much?

About 36mm ICW, 42MM IMW seems to be the norm.

@auxiliarus Thanks for the reply, but I'm talking about how fast expansion should be. I feel a lot of pressure on my teeth, but not too much pressure on my palate. I don't know if to keep going with the one turn per day to keep the force strong, or drop it to half a turn per day.

The slower the better, you want the effect to be global not localized. If you do it too quick, you will only increase palate width, but not zygo width and etc...
