Learnt mewing in 2019.

2017 I was in year 12, my under eye had already become a little worse since 2014. But in 2018 it accelrated, the first year out of school.

Now during 2018 I worked avarage 30 hours per week at a grocery store, standing up in fruit and veg.

So 2018 total time spent standing was at least 2 or 3 times more than in school, which you think would help, but it got much worse.

I wounder if just chewing sandwiches and other foods during recess and lunch, allowing for proper swallowing, kept my face decent. Wheras in 2018 im more at home, probably eating more cerial which was just complete mush. Now I was still eating the same dinner. But I used to eat this big roll with heaps shit in in for lunch, and that stopped in 2018. My cheeks also coincidentaly greatly increase in 2018, and i remember my family telling me to shut my mouth cause id eat with it open (not sure.why)

my mum also has the EXACT SAME PROBLEM, uses her lips and cheeks a fuck ton when she eats and has developed sagging cheeks, and guess what, hollow under eyes.

im thinking more and more that swallowing is legit the most important thing, the softer the food, the more i struggle to not use my lips.

also, bread rolls are harder than toast. toast intake went up, bread rolls went bye bye

I dont think resting tounge posture is as important as we think. It helps with breathing and helps to guide a growing face maybe, but a toddler has the perfect maxilla already, they're just growing it out. the tounge never pushes the maxilla up and forward in growth. so the people with perfect swallowing patterns just also have good resting toungue posture.

Just something funny. Stand up straight and bend your head/neck back to look at the roof, see how much ur lips seperate. when my dad does this(asleep) his lips bairly separate. its incredible. His mouth is less open than me sitting upright last year. he has great growth
