Hello, what negatives does mewing with a mis-aligned midline do (the teeth) and should I still mew with one?

I assume you would just reinforce the off-center alignment unless you purposely applied more pressure to one side to even it out.

@paperbag hello, so my teeth have mis aligned to fix my jaw asymmetry, do you think if I mew it will cause negative effects?

thanks, Mitch.

This is something I'm interested in as well. Sadly even Mike Mew doesn't have an answer to this as he has said that 'asymmetries' of the face are incredibly complex topic and that he hasn't got enough time to properly study it.

However, EddieMoney of this forum once advised to mew and chew in a way that coincides the two asymmetric midlines and over time, this could help in improving the asymmetry.

I think it comes down to expanding your jaws to the right size. The misalignment will correct, as they expand.

@mitchcahh I don't know for sure, but it seems wider to try and expand the part that looks less aligned instead of even pressure on an uneven structure. Theoretically, expansion in general could only help you when there would be more room for everything to resolve.

The best thing you can achieve I believe is maxillary upswings/downswings (most require the first) to correct CFD and the asymmetry that came along with it.

I have a crooked maxilla that leans on one side more than the other, or that more specifically, is more recessed, my arch from that side is also higher placed than the opposing one, which that confirmed it for me. It was as a result of CFD continuing its vile destruction and misalignment of my face.

You need to acquire all the forward and upward growth in this world for you to correct such a thing naturally. If you suffer from malocclusion and are able to completely solve it for yourself, then the asymmetry/misalignment will likely repair itself along with your bite, they're highly correlated with each other in my opinion.
