When getting the posterior 1/3 of the tongue up my Adam's apple raises slightly and I feel the tension right above it (where the neck meets the head?). Am I doing it right?
look in the mirro and the skin under ur jaw should come up and tighten when the back 3rd is up
mine does literally the opposite of this when i push at the palate when i just keep it there without pushing it's somewhere inbetween and when i suck as if about to click my tongue it does as you say come up and tighten
which of these should i be doing?
You are probably pushing to hard.
question and aswer from John Mew:
” When I press my tongue on top of the roof of the mouth, I feel a strong downward force that presses between my throat and chin. Do I do it wrong?”
”I think you are pushing too hard with your tongue, the Tropic Premise says it should REST against your palate. The same applies to your jaw muscles, your teeth should be in LIGHT contact. I hope this helps, Prof John Mew. ”
I feelthe same way when partially obstructing the airway by partially covering the soft palate. Interestingly this effect wards off when I fully cover the soft palate.
