Hello, my name is Hérick. Today I tried MEWING, earlier before going to workout. Everything was going very well, I got home I took a shower and went to eat my post-workout but then, when I started to chew I began to hear cracks next to my jaw. This is normal?

is this unusual for you?  have you experienced it before when chewing heavily? if you're not experiencing pain or discomfort it's probably not a problem. my dad and I both have clicky jaws when we eat

Oh man, that's rare to me but, I'm not experiencing any pain or discomfort. I do not remember it happening in the past. It's new to me. When I started MEWING, this was not so difficult, I was well accustomed to keeping my tongue in the roof of my mouth, but the part where you lay your molar teeth was unusual and probably the hardest one for me.

I think you'll be fine. make sure you are keeping your tongue and jaw posture balanced and that you are not clenching your jaw at any time (chewing doesn't count)

Ok. Any news I'm gonna post here. Just one more doubt, in the start I need to mew all the time? When I am at the gym, sometimes I breath by my mouth. But today I tried to breath in with the nose and exhale with the mouth and it's pretty good.

when you are doing heavy labour, you will likely need to breath through your mouth and it's ok but I would recommend trying to breath nasally and keep proper airway/oral/bodily/head posture to help encourage it to open, if you can help it. I'm pretty sure that people who have excellent facial develop often have excellent airways and they can pump huge amounts of air through their nostrils, meaning breathing orally isn't necessary. just do your best but the less mouth breathing, the better

If for any reason this persists another week or two, stop using the technique you're using (because it's possibly wrong) and watch this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VRCsB9hmNls&list=PLX3oLVFIruG9WI0r4ZW4b89-lVzZ2jYdR

Pops and clicks in the jaw are a sign of TMJ issues and are often caused by the mandible being too far back. Stick your fingers in your ears, then open and close your jaw repeatedly. Do you feel a lot of bone movement in your ears? If so, it's a sign that your mandible is retruded and this could be the cause of the pops and clicks. They come and go with some people. Try jutting your mandible forward, even just a little bit (like 2-3mm). Does the clicking stop? If so, it might be worth jutting like this all the time to keep the condyles out of the socket and allow them to remodel. You don't need to keep your teeth touching when your mouth is closed, so don't worry if it puts your bite out. The idea is to jut whenever you're not using your mouth.
