Hello all!
To say I feel frustrated is an understatement. I’m considering seeing Lenny Kundel in NYC at some point, heard from someone else he’s an amazing dentist and treating her kids with ALF.
I feel my palate is narrow and I noticed left side of my face I like more than the other. One side looks more underdeveloped than other, and palate also seems narrower on that side too. On that side my eye looks it needs to come forward more, slightly uneven to other. So maybe working on muscle tone would help or even myomunchee.
Can someone explain how the AGGA works compared to ALF. And starecta as well? Is starecta recommended?
Also what is your opinion on neuromuscular orthotics that claim to get the jaws in the right position and relax muscles? I assume they aren’t too thick so wouldn’t prevent tongue posture as much.
Dr Mew says splints would just cause more vertical growth, yet others talk about people needing vertical height to support skull which ALF wouldn’t provide (maybe after?)
Do you always need braces after ALF treatment? I am curious about this one. My teeth are currently straight for most part.
I read someone’s blog, debugging health, that tongue tie removal and keeping tongue up 24/7 seemed to really improve her wellbeing and help detox.
Tbh, it feels hard to 24/7 keep my tongue up there! My palate is probably higher up too. Thanks for taking the time to read my posts!! Perhaps myo therapy would really benefit- and a definite before tongue release. That costs money as well. :( I like myo made easy.com ; going to get another of the thera bite as it helps keep tongue up. And MAYBE myomunchee but not sure.
Read this entire post and read the links. /community/community/main-forum/possibly-new-holy-grail-for-moving-the-maxilla-up-and-forwards/
Thanks ! :)
What do you all think about facemax and NCR? An ALF dentist said he did not advise agga. It seems everyone contradicts everything. Doesn’t agga and ALF both help forward growth?
Doesn’t agga and ALF both help forward growth?
AGGA focuses mostly on forward expansion while ALF focus mostly on transverse expansion, but both might cause some positive changes in the other dimensions.
Apparently the agga just tips your teeth. What you want is to move your entire maxilla up and forwards, not grow it forward, it's already grown just take it and move it up and forwards which is what the MSE+FM does
I saw that Marianna Evans from Philadelphia advertises on her facebook that she uses MARPE. I was thinking about looking into it. Not sure how she is or how her technique differs from MSE.

Hey, did you use an expander on yourself? Is this not a good idea? Does ALF really help unwind cranial distortions more along with cranial therapy or can all expansion do this anyway. Someone sent me pictures of 14 months mewing and they seemed to get great changes.
I think I am 31-34mm but definitely on narrow side.
