Title.
It is very random and difficult, the last time I've genuinely achieved an upswing that has, as a result, lessened my overbite, shortened my nose, gave me a ramus with a straighter mandible & more pointy chin, was 2 years ago that occurred out of nowhere and now wish to induce this again. Is it purely cranial suture growth being involved or bone remodeling?
Nobody has any answers to these so far, I've tried everything there is with hard mewing, chin tucking with 0 results, the only thing I've gained was forward growth, no crucial, vital upswing.
Also is the GIF below even demonstrating a CCW rotation? I don't remember my teeth achieving a higher position, instead, they remained at the same spot with just the jaws rotated with the lower molars rising.
One thing I've been trying is putting a lot of load on the front incisors in a class 1 position (I'm class 2)
I'm guessing you have a posterior open bite if you correct your mandible to get rid of your deep bite?

What age were you when this occurred? Do you have any records of this? Do you have any theories as to how it happened?
24 years old

Yep, a posterior open bite, aka deepbite aka class 2 malocclusion.
Good thing I guess is that my teeth don't necessarily protrude outwards like some kind of an overjet issue, they're tightly aligned.

1. 17, now 19.
2. Nope, unfortunately.
3. One theory I thought of was my growth, I was a late bloomer beginning puberty at 14/15 which I'm sure when I've first started at 17 I still had a growth spurt, in fact, it could of been my peak.
I remember seeing something not sure if it was on this forum, but that adolescents reach their peak value of IGF-1. Maybe that has a correlation? IGF-1 induces bone growth.

Just concerning ourselves with one factor associated with cell growth and division being unregulated probably won't cut it. Adults need either puberty (seems likely what did it in your case) or somehow inducing a kind of "second puberty" which up-regulates hundreds or so genes associated with cell growth. Stimulating the suture areas mechanically or through other means. I have a theory and will write about it in a new thread.

I just know for damn sure that mere bone remodeling isn't going to displace our upper jaws. My experience made it so clear.
We don't even have enough information on children & adolescents when it comes to their progress. Like for example, if hormonal adolescents produce the most amount of IGF-1 then how come children get the best results regardless? Is it all suture related? If so, are children's sutures simply more malleable? Or is it because of some other unknown factor or hormone that allows it to be malleable? There are so many elements to it, it is confusing. I'd assume we would have no choice but to experiment with hormones as that is, of course, one of the things that are hugely related to pubertal growth with the highest possible potential of yielding the necessary results.

Yes, I agree with you. But no need to experiment with hormones, I doubt that would be enough and has side effects anyway (like when men take steroids but end up with those tell-tale estrogenic-looking thighs). It's possible to create the right environment to optimise hormones and growth, and stimulate the organs and glands that produce our hormones (I'll write more about this in my recent thread)
