Where can I get a Myobrace?

I'm looking to buy the step up from the trainer, A2, in large size. I'm hard pressed to find the brand name version anywhere. These should be made easily accessible for the general public, so that we don't all have to go to an Orthotropist to be charged extra to use a device that most people are perfectly capable of using themselves.

The reason I want this is because I'm having trouble keeping the posterior third of my tongue up, especially when I sleep. I'm needing to buy more chios gum as it's been a month since I've chewed and my masseters aren't as strong so my jaw hangs down a lot when I sleep. I've been having sleepless nights just trying to keep my lower jaw up and tongue in good position while sleeping.

To be honest, I don't really understand the mechanism for how the myobrace works. I guess the little tab helps you remember to keep your tongue on the roof of your mouth, but it isn't like the training appliances that Dr. Mew uses which have little spikes on the bottom that poke you if you separate your teeth. Does it reduce crowding by holding the lips back away from the teeth? There seem to be some off-brand myobrace-style training mouthpieces available on Amazon.

From what I've heard it has a platform that you put your tongue on, that forces it hard into your palate, and also gently pushes your teeth towards an ideal arch, while training your lip muscles how to be positioned. It can be uncomfortable because most people aren't pushing their whole tongues up, and this will ensure that it is all the way up. If you wear it during sleep it can help solidify good oral habits for wake.

There's another device, I don't understand how it works, but the patients in the pictures all seemed to have wider arches after using the device. It's called the ACOM device, and a myofunctional therapist in Italy created it, and I think select myofunctional therapists in California use it as well, but in some cases you can ask a myofunctional therapist to order one for you. I'd also try my hand at emailing the manufacturer, but this device is around $2,000 but seems very solid for achieving obvious dental changes.

I'm seeing them on Aliexpress (knock offs and also what seem to be the real deal) and plan to get one too in the same size (that's the largest one, iirc, but need to double check) because I hope to get that Roman arch shape going on for my teeth, which I hope will improve my buccal corridors for a more aesthetic smile.

I heard the knock off ones are made of funky chemicals that cause a tingling sensation.

On claiming power I noticed the myobrace lip trainer came highly recommended, which is also available on Aliexpress. The official website says it works in conjunction with all the systems, seemingly a one-size fits all type thing, but the Aliexpress page says it's for children. So... does the lip trainer help and work for adults, too? Just hope to confirm.

I'm doing this all on a shoestring budget so may have to wait a month or two to start. Looking forward to it, and going to start on the largest size as this was recommended to me elsewhere. Good luck to you as well, OP!

Remember this pain... and let it activate you.

I also saw these on sale at AliExpress while browsing for the A3 (stage 3) appliances this afternoon. I'm curious to know how (well) these appliances may work with the arch development (palatal expansion) devices - I've sourced  2 online merchants (validated as legitimate manufactures) for expanders:

source 1: https://www.bracesshop.net/en/active-plates/4/active-plate

source 2:  http://www.dblabsupplies.co.uk/expanders-29-c.asp

I haven't had any dental treatment now or since as a child, but I'm identify a Class II, Division 1 malocclusion in my dental profile (note: I'm self diagnosing at this point based off clinical journals), notably my upper central incisors are quite proclined (overjet - most likely due to tongue thrust during early childhood). However my inter-molar width is narrow (slightly over 38mm) and I'd like to expand that to support correct tongue posture. The reason why Myobrace is on my radar is because of my concerns over the Palatal-Expander's affect on tooth gap increase between the maxillary central incisors.  Now braces would typically be the stage 2 procedure here to realign and close those gaps. I'd rather opt out of braces due to their cost and inflexibility, So my question is whether MyoBraces, worn for 8hrs a day (mainly during the night) could be a suitable substitute to braces during the alignment stage?

So I may have discovered the answer to my above question. The MyoBrace mechanics actually encourage the upper jaw to expand through force provided by the tongue (tongue on palate posture). The Myobrace therefore appears to server as an all in one system, which raises somewhat another question from me - what is the point of a Palatal Expander if the Myobrace system incorporates this just by encouraging correct tongue posture? on top of that it's half the price of a Palatal-Expander.

I own a Myobrace and a Myomunchee.

Honestly, they aren't even that good and they don't do anything that you can't do on your own. They are just muscle trainers. They don't actually 'do' anything. What's worse is that because they go between your teeth, they lead to face lengthening and jaw joint issues.

I wouldn't recommend spending your money on them, but if you really wanna experiment then go ahead and give it a shot.

The best way to expand the palate is with your tongue alone or with an acrylic expander if you need major expansion or if your tongue doesn't fit. The guy who made this thread said that he wants help to keep his tongue up at night, and that MIGHT be something the myobrace can help with, but I think it would be even better to do some myofunctional therapy to solve that issue.
