Hi,

I am sort of new here, when it comes to writing posts but I have been observing the forums for a couple of months now, and I thought it was the right time to engage in the conversation

Furthermore, I finally received my active plate, but I have some doubts, doubts about whether the active plate is pushing against the right area in order to expand my palate.

If I were to feel and look at the expander it seems to be pushing on the middle of the molars and other teeth, not the gumline. There also seems to be a <1mm gap between the palate and the acrylic of the plate, some other guy also mentioned this and said there is room for the palate when it comes down

When I take a look at videos how expanders get made and fit they al seem to do the seem thing, pushing against the teeth, rather the gums.

Also the central and lateral incisors of the upper jaw, have a halfway imprint on the active plate, so it seems to be a normal thing that the plate is pushing against the teeth, but still I have some doubts, and I hope someone that has the expander can clear things up for me.
