It is easy to breath through the nose during the day, but at night, it is a completely different story.
I have decreased my sleep from 9 hours to 6 hours, lessening the chance for my mouth to be open at night. I also chew mastic gum for an hour before I go to bed. I also spend the last 10 minutes breathing extremely heavily through my nose to encourage that breathing pattern during sleep.
I also do not use a pillow and sleep on my back, chin tucking and maintaining moderate tongue posture.
Even though following all of these precautions, I still often catch myself with my mouth open during sleep. It is extremely aggravating as it feels like you are relapsing on your hard work.
Is there any other things I could do to prevent mouthbreathing while sleeping? Any help would be highly appreciated.
Cutting down on sleep sounds like a really bad idea. Getting sufficient rest is essential for proper development. You can try taping your mouth at night.
I agree with Pame that it is better to have enough sleep.
Do nasal breathing exercises for 10-15 minutes right before you sleep (sitting on your bed).
I linked to two videos in the following thread that illustrate this exercise:

Until you have mastered good head posture, sleeping on your back, especially without a pillow, can cause your chin to lift up and your mouth to fall open. It might be smarter to sleep on your side with a pillow until your posture improves. You could also try mouth taping.

I don't understand the idea that sleeping on your side is better for maintaining head posture. That's like honestly one of the advantages of sleeping on your back is its easier to chin tuck by having the bed supporting the back of your head. Sleeping on your side makes it very easy to revert back to forward head posture.
The advantage of sleeping on your side is it decreases your chances of having apneotic episodes, since your tongue won't be collapsing back into your airway. In this respect it could be recommended to sleep on your side. However, there is no advantage with side sleeping to maintaining proper head posture.
P.S. @Sorrow Buy these and tape your mouth at night. Youll probably take it off a few times during the night for the first week or so but you'll get used to it and be able to keep it on. Don't try too many things at once. If you find it hard to sleep on your back and chin tuck and tape your mouth, then you should just try sleeping on your side for now and taping your mouth. Not breathing through your mouth is the most important thing.
P.P.S: One thing that really strengthens my ability to nasal breathe subconsciously is nasal breathing while running/ biking. If you can only breathe through your nose while exerting yourself like this, it will be exceedingly easy to do it at rest. If, like me, your nasal passages are narrow, buy this to wear while running. You should be breathing through your nose at all times regardless.

He's not asking about what sleep position improves head posture, he's asking about avoiding mouth breathing. I said that sleeping on his side would help him avoid mouth breathing, until he improved his forward head posture through other practices, at which point he might be able to sleep on his back while keeping his mouth closed. Follow the links I posted for a more thorough explanation.
If you haven't mastered maintaining correct oral posture during sleep, and/or if you have any degree of forward head posture, then sleeping on your back is likely to cause your head to fall back, your mouth to fall open, and your tongue to fall into your pharynx. In these cases it's better to sleep on your side and keep practicing until you consistently wake up with your tongue in position. However, if you aren't kyphotic and don't have snoring/restrictive airway issues, then you might be ready to graduate to sleeping on your back.
Same issue as you. I’m planning to get a BioBloc stage III/IV after I’m finished expanding with MSE. Not really sure exactly how they work, but they are supposed to enforce proper oral posture and keep your mouth closed while worn. I’m planning to use it during sleep and hopefully it should do the trick.

I have found better alternatives. These were featured on the Orthotropic channel:

If you're going to tape your mouth closed during sleep, I recommend a basic 3M micropore tape, which works pretty well and is significantly less expensive. rogerramjet and I discuss the merits and methods of mouth taping in the second link that I posted above. You can also read about when I first started experimenting with it in the thread about my routine. Mouth taping is useful for ensuring that you aren't breathing through your mouth, but it doesn't ensure good oral posture during sleep. Your jaw can still go slack and your tongue can still fall back into your airway with your lips taped shut, especially while sleeping on you back.

So how is it possible to achieve good oral posture/ jaws shut while sleeping? Chin tuck and/or chewing before sleep? Won’t help the tongue stay on the roof of the mouth though.
Maybe an appliance?

To some extent, it's just practicing correct oral posture during your waking hours until it becomes habitual. Increasing the resting muscle tone of your tongue and masseters should help. Getting yourself into a good chin tuck position during sleep seems to help. However, if your intermolar width is prohibitively narrow, you might not be able to keep your tongue in position without effort and concentration. The biobloc appliance that npcBrah mentioned has little prongs which poke you if you slack your jaw. It will also help stabilize his expansion. Unless you are working with a good orthodontist, that might not be an option for you. The tongue tag on the myobrace is supposed to help reinforce tongue posture, but I haven't found it to be very helpful for that purpose. Whatever you do, it's worthwhile to ensure you are breathing through your nose even if you haven't yet perfected your oral posture during sleep.

Deathmewing day 5 update:
My palate has expanded from 36mm to 92mm. My lower teeth no longer make contact with my upper teeth, but my zygos are looking insane. My midline suture literally doesn't even exist anymore, there's just a permanent space now in the middle of my maxilla.
Some problems worth noting, while the benefits of deathmewing are immense, there are some downsides. My hand strength continues to increase, but I'm starting to get worried. Today I shook my bosses hand and literally broke all of his bones. I can't even get into my car anymore as I ripped the door off when trying to get in. And don't even get my started on masturbating.
My sphenoid bone has now been freed and my hormones are freaking out. Even though I can't masturbate, I've already came 5 times since writing this post and my balls are about the size of my fists. Which are huge because my hands are strong just fyi.
Will keep you guys updated.

Please stop trolling. Even suggesting you’ve DeathMewed for 5 days straight is irresponsible. You know the risks. Your strong hands would’ve torn a hole in space-time and you and your chad maxilla would exist in a state of pseudo-godhood inside of a tesseract — and not be shitposting on the internet.

Can only Orthotropists and Myofunctional therapists provide this treatment?!
There is only one Orthotropist in the whole of the UK: Dr Mew.

You're headed straight for a ban with these types of posts.
The only thing that prevented an immediate ban is your history of decent posts.
