Hi i bought myobrace A1 large the legit one and it arrived today.
I first want to say that i have been 'mewing' since being a child. My natural tongue posture is on the roof and has always been. Never breathed with the mouth unless i was running or doing any sport.
I have a pretty wide palate, 48mm intermolar. But i have a bit crowded lower teeth. So i got myobrace to straight them out. I also have a bit of overbite (slighty more than normal) its not bad tbh tbh
The thing is, i got the large size stage 1 (A1) and fits fine in my mouth, but its smaller than me intermolar width. Will it make my palate smaller. Also the plastic is hurting my gums tho...
Ask anything bellow
If your intermolar width is actually 48mm, I suspect the large size myobrace is significantly too small for you. My intermolar width is below 40mm, and I still find the large size to be a little too small. I started with the A2 level of rigidity and have moved on to the A3. I think this type of activator has the potential to reduce your overbite and lower incisor crowding, but it might be counterproductive if your arch is as wide as you say. I've written in a few threads about making adjustments to the lip bumpers so that they don't rub against your gums and cause ulcers.
Thanks a lot for the answer, yeah my intermolar width is 47-48, i will put some photos in the end of this post. It can fix my overbite and the lower incisor crowding, but it could shrink my palate and make it narrower... so i spend 100 euro for nothing... is there anything i can do? What if i use it til fixes my problems and then get another appliance to wider my palate. Here the pics:

Yeah, I tried to warn people about this after my large A2 arrived.
My intermolar width is currently just below 40mm. It is good that I ordered the large, but I'm amazed that they don't offer a larger size. I don't think anyone with a wider palate than me would get much benefit from the large A2.
My lower arch is wider than my upper arch (with lingually tipped lower molars that prevent cross bite), so the large myobrace fits my upper arch alright, but is a little small on my lower arch. Unfortunately, whatever seller you purchased it from probably won't accept a return. If you're from Europe (since you mention that your payment was in euros), various European providers make activators (aka soulet besombes, K3F, etc.) that come in larger sizes.
Hi could you link me to your threads about myobrace? And my canines distances are 40mm, and molars 47. Are activators as efective? And they wont fuck maxilla just straighten teeth and widen palate

I recently posted a list of myobrace-related threads here ( /community/community/main-forum/facial-growth-and-dental-alignment-with-mrc-appliances/#post-11879 ). You can also read more details about my experience in the thread about my routine ( /community/community/case-discussions/my-routine/paged/4/#post-6395 ), but that thread has gotten pretty cluttered and might require searching for the term "myobrace" to find references to it. I haven't tried any of these alternative activators, so I can't vouch for their efficacy, but they should work the same way as the myobrace, just without the tongue tab and some other nuanced features.
Thanks a l0t, btw i had it all night today, and yeah i can feel it, but my tongue guets pressed laterally by the plastic and hurts a lot because its like if theres no space for it, like if my tongue its too wide. what tricks can i do to it and for my gums too?

I used a dremel tool to file down the lip bumpers so that they wouldn't rub on my buccal exostoses and to smooth off the seams that were irritating my tongue. Here are a couple posts where I mention my initial adjustments to the A2 but I know I've talked more about adjusting the myobrace in other posts in the thread about my routine:

Comfort adjustments are also mentioned in this myobrace slide presentation:
